How it works
- Account challenges award Legacy Points: 65 at launch, one per challenge, and they count for all your characters.
- Each character spends up to 16 points across three trees, on its own and without affecting the others. Every rank of a perk costs 1 point.
- Locked perks ask you to spend 5 or 10 points on earlier perks of the same tree first. Perks with an arrow need the previous perk at its maximum rank.
- Whatever you earn beyond 16 feeds a cosmetic reward track. The beta client has a reputation called "Legacy Track".
- Legacy Points are shared across rulesets, except Hardcore.
- Each tree also has two slots the client describes as "To be added in a future update". We show them, but they cannot be picked.
By the numbers
21 perks with 69 ranks in total, so 16 points means making choices: not even enough to finish one tree.
Talented (Adventure) brings talent points forward: each rank starts them one level earlier, from 9 down to 5.
The 65 Legacy challenges
Taken from the beta client, each one awards 1 point to the whole account. Tick them to see how many you have: the list is only saved in this browser.
With 0 points, each character can spend 0 of the 16.
