  1. Camp
  2. Ruins
  3. Abandoned Tower
  4. Shipwreck Cove
  5. Darkspear Flag

The two factions and their rewards

Each side of the battleground has its own reputation in the client, with its description. Below, the items that require that reputation, by standing.

The client does not say how this reputation is earned or who sells these items. Several come in versions with the same name and a different item level.

Battleground items

New client items named after the islands or their factions, not counting the reputation rewards.

The client has no description or effect for it. The price is the client’s BuyPrice field: it does not prove that a vendor sells the item.

Honor

The beta’s Honor changes and the Legacy perk that increases the Honor you earn.

  • Since build 70170, PvP gear and upgrade tokens cost roughly 50% more Honor, and the Honor cap rises from 15,000 to 25,000.

PvP and rulesets

  • Battlegrounds can mix players from different rulesets. Hardcore is the exception: it stays separate.
  • On the PvP ruleset you can only create characters of one faction: once you have an Alliance character there, you cannot create a Horde one, and vice versa.
  • For the PvP ruleset, Blizzard plans systems to keep the Horde and Alliance populations close, like in Season of Discovery, where creating characters of one faction could be limited for a while.

We will add it once the client or Blizzard says so.
