Where the names come from

They are the names the game uses: those of the WoW Forever beta client in English and in Spanish from Spain (build 1.60.1.70205). What the beta does not have yet, such as some Classic items, keeps the names of the Classic client in the same two languages. Only the new dungeons not in the beta so far go by the names in Blizzard’s official news in English and Spanish, and the result says so. We do not translate any name ourselves: if the client has no name of its own in one of the two languages, that name is left out.

When Blizzard’s Spanish news uses another word than the client, such as “célicos” or some Legacy perks, that word also finds the client’s name and the result shows it in a note; the translation is still the game’s.

When Blizzard translates or renames something in a new build, the translator picks it up with the next data update. If a spell or talent had another name in Classic, you will see it under the name, and searching for the old name finds it too.

The only NPCs are dungeon and raid bosses: they are the only ones we have with their official name in both languages.
