Classic 1.12 data, not Forever data. The game files do not include quest texts, so this page uses the free CMaNGOS Classic-DB database. Objectives, rewards, experience and positions may have changed in WoW Forever.

In WoW Forever

  • The WoW Forever beta client (build 1.60.1.70205) includes this quest by its number (4024). That does not confirm its text, objectives or rewards are unchanged.
  • Blizzard says dungeon quests give extra experience beyond normal quest values in Forever, and build 1.60.1.70170 halved that extra. No figures were given, and the Classic experience on this page does not include it. Source See it in the list of changes

Objectives

  • Collect 1 × Encased Fiery Essence

You get on accepting it: Altered Black Dragonflight Molt

Quest text: Travel to Blackrock Depths and slay Bael'Gar.
You only know that the giant resides inside Blackrock Depths. Remember to use the Altered Black Dragonflight Molt on Bael'Gar's remains to capture the Fiery Essence.
Return the Encased Fiery Essence to Cyrus Therepentous.
