Classic 1.12 data, not Forever data. The game files do not include quest texts, so this page uses the free CMaNGOS Classic-DB database. Objectives, rewards, experience and positions may have changed in WoW Forever.

In WoW Forever

  • The WoW Forever beta client (build 1.60.1.70205) includes this quest by its number (9153). That does not confirm its text, objectives or rewards are unchanged.

Objectives

  • Collect 10 × Necrotic Rune

Quest text: Check your map to find an area under Scourge attack. Go there and damage a necropolis by defeating the Scourge around them. Return 10 of their Necrotic Runes to Commander Thomas Helleran at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands.

Starts

  • Commander Thomas Helleran <The Argent Dawn>Classic position: Eastern Plaguelands 71.2 · 50.6 · View on the map

Ends

  • Commander Thomas Helleran <The Argent Dawn>Classic position: Eastern Plaguelands 71.2 · 50.6 · View on the map

Classic 1.12 coordinates on the Forever map; it may be elsewhere in Forever.

Rewards

Choose one:

  • Blessed Wizard Oil × 2
  • Consecrated Sharpening Stone × 2

Classic 1.12 rewards. Blizzard says quest rewards were updated or expanded in Forever, so they may differ.
