We’re tracking server issues that are affecting some Beta testers, and our fix for this will almost certainly result in restarting servers today. Thank you for these reports.
We are in the process of issuing forced name changes to characters found to be in violation of our character naming policies that were created in the Forever Beta. Additionally, we have removed beta access for some users who created names that were far outside of our Code of Conduct. The use of dual names has allowed players new levels of creativity and personalization with your characters, some…

We’ve been tracking an issue in the WoW Forever Beta where the 0.5-second cast time that precedes a Hunter’s auto-shot or the use of a wand is not functioning properly. Due to a bug, these auto-shots are currently incurring a much shorter cast time, which in practice means that Hunters and wand users don’t need to stop to shoot for as long as intended. This is something that we will fix in an…

The Skyborne—also known as the shen’dorei, or hidden people—are a new playable race in World of Warcraft: Forever. Their journey begins on Zephras Isle, a level 1–12 starting experience that blends classic Warcraft aesthetics with elemental architecture and a story shaped by wind and ancestry. At character creation, you’ll choose whether your Skyborne joins the proud Horde or the noble Alliance.
Bloodyniku: Where I’ve guessed at a mechanism I’ve said so explicitly. I just want to thank you and others who have provided us with such incredibly detailed and useful reporting. We have multiple different analyses (and potential fixes) for Mac issues underway, and posts like yours are extremely helpful.
Explore the playable races, class combinations, and updated racial traits coming in World of Warcraft: Forever, including new options for familiar favorites along with the introduction of the Skyborne.
With an issue like this one, we would really appreciate as much detail as you can provide in your report. Please feel free to let us know exactly when this happened, your character’s full name, and where in-game you were at the point that the character because inaccessible. Thank you!
Shawnwow: What are you doing? Gathering as much information as possible, so that we can be sure of our understanding of both the issue and our fix for it. Thank you for your patience. We recognize that Beta testing is very different than playing a live game.
Today, we’ve fixed an issue with the quest “A Firm Response”. The issue was: The event that takes place during “A Firm Response” would become stuck and Windshaper Skyborne on Zephras Isle could not proceed. You’d walk up to talk to Belathaan Brightwish near the Shrine of Akir on Zephras to start the event and it would then lock up and stall after Lorthuna Spawned. We attempted a fix a couple of…

In World of Warcraft: Forever, every character name is an opportunity to express yourself and establish your identity in Azeroth. With the addition of two names, players have more room to create something personal while keeping each full name unique within a region. That means you may still be able to use the same first name as another character, but your complete two-name combination is unique to you.
World of Warcraft: Forever is taking a new approach to where and how players begin their journey. Instead of choosing from a long list of realms, players will select a ruleset—Normal, PvP, Roleplaying, or Hardcore—that matches how they want to experience Azeroth. Each option operates as its own large ecosystem for grouping, dungeons, raids, and community, with Hardcore joining the available lineup sometime after launch.
As many Beta testers in this region know, in the first couple of days of the WoW: Forever Beta, we experienced routing issues that impacted testers’ ability to move, interact with the world, and in some cases, to stay connected. We immediately put our engineers on the case and they’ve been working to understand and address any parts of the issue that were within our control. I’m happy to report…
Dasha: We wouldn’t have access to this forum if we didn’t have beta access. Just want to clarify that this discussion forum is accessible by all players with an active WoW subscription. Ínfinite: My entire Blizzard launcher can’t load any content of any game - “Oops! Something went wrong.” I’m not a qualified tech supporter by any stretch, but I had that issue one time following an inelegant…

The vast majority of World of Warcraft players already use...
Bathered: My dad and I both purchased the beta on our separate WoW accounts, but on the same battle.net account. I’ve been looking into this, and I wonder if you can solve it by doing the following: Log in to your Account page: http://account.battle.net Go to the Games & Subscriptions section. Scroll down to Starter Editions & Public Test Regions. Click Create PTR Account and then confirm by…
Added to the list above: The Cooldown Manager is a work in progress. Complete implementation varies from class to class. Armor bonuses from consumables and buffs are multiplied by Bear Form armor bonuses. Queueing an On-Next Attack ability (Heroic Strike/Cleave/Raptor Strike) disables your spell queue window. Taking damage while channeling Arcane Missiles will fire off a full damage bolt instead…

When World of Warcraft: Forever launches GPUs based on certain older graphics architectures that fall well below the game's minimum hardware requirements will no longer be supported. We’ve spotted one item from BlizzCon that we want to clarify. In various places, the new Krol’dok Stronghold dungeon is listed alongside an incorrect level range.
